So I've had the Fusion for a little over a week, and I've made about a dozen sounds I'd like to give away. How do I upload and share them? I noticed Roberto was kind enough to host the files Mark made of the Ricky bass patches. I'd like to ask the same courtesy if I could. Now I understand that .afp files are simply patch files using the Fusion's internal synth engines or ROM soundsets. But how do I package new sounds that use a different set of multisamples? I've made a few sounds using Vstream's multisamples (I assume picaja would approve ), but I'm not 100% sure how to include/link them...? Any help would be appreciated, as well as any critique on the sounds I'll provide. Several are re-voicings of the Holy Grail piano, a couple synth-brass sounds, some attempts at rezz dive/chirp sound FX a la the Juno 106/Tom Sawyer intro, and a couple industrial type sounds. Controller assignments included. Thanks.

Hi psionic,
For hosting I like rapidshare.com. You simple upload your (.zip) file and get an ID/Link for it. There is no need to register. Some people don't like it, since it has a download limit (IP adress bound). In my opionion it's easy and offers good download speeds.
For collection you're releases files: I think this is structure:
Mixes/Songs are made of/referencing Patterns,Synth-Presets and Sample-Presets. Sample-Presets are using Multisample-Data (upto 4). Multisample-Data contains/references Samples.
Some examples: When you want to offer...: - a Pattern there are no dependencies - a Multisample-Preset, you have to include its harddisk-located Samples - a Song: you have to cover all that is mentioned above
But most of the time it's easier than that: If you have used the Fusion Converter to create a new Bank, you will have subdirectories with the Banks name (on your Fusion and maybe on your PCs harddisk). If you don't have this Bank still located on your FusionConverters directory (C:\ProgramFiles\Alesis\FusionConverter\ or was it C:\ProgramFiles\FusionConverter\ ?), you could search on your Fusions harddisk for Folders inside samples-, multisamples-, presets- directories. Then, collect these into your .zip files and all should be fine.
I hope this makes sense.
Cheers

I noticed Roberto was kind enough to host the files Mark made of the Ricky bass patches. I'd like to ask the same courtesy if I could. Ahem! I hosted them! Programs based on ROM samples are OK but sounds using Picaja's, Klaus's or my samples could be tricky because you can't guarantee everyone has them or has them in the same location. Errorsville! I don't mind hosting a few progs. Steve

Alrighty then, what I can do also is try copying while preserving the reference structure, and put them into a new bank on my PC. Then I'll try downloading it myself into the Fusion as a new program/multisample, and if it works for me, should work for everyone.
I'll try the rapidshare route first, since there is no registration (I dislike giving my email out to sites; like to keep the spam as minimal as possible). I'll also look around for other hosting options. As a last resort I'll lean on Steve's courtesies. Thanks.
