I know this is a stupid question, but I can't figure out how to get a pic of my studio into the message box.

You need to host the pic somewhere on the interweb. I use photobucket It's free and simple (you have to resize your pics to something sensible (I use 800x600 pixels) Then you can point to your photos using the IMG code - You'll see an IMG code below each pic in your photobucket... It looks like this: {IMG}http://photob.....etc{/IMG} (But you will see [] brackets which are right, I've used {} so it shows here) Then paste that into your post and voila!

you have to resize your pics to something sensible Actually, for display here, you don't HAVE to as large pictures are now automatically resized to something sensible. Steve

They still take ages to load, though, so it'll be taken as a kindness if you could.

While your at it please blow me through the inserting of 'hypertext' again. I keep screwing it up. JP: it's {URL=http://someplace-on-the-interweb.whatever}LINK TEXT{/URL} and replace the {} with [] WAVEFACTORYTHANX MARK I use PHOTOBUCKET also. IMG code makes posting images a snap.

JP: it's {URL=http://someplace-on-the-interweb.whatever}LINK TEXT{/URL} and replace the {} with [] Mark - that's for 'hiding' a URL with a simple text link ... such as Buy 'Nebulae' now.... Made up of {url=http://www.hollowsun.com/cds/nebulae_page.html}Buy 'Nebulae' now{/url} replacing {} with []. To place images: * Find the image you want to show * Copy its URL (usually right click and select 'Copy Image Address' for the contextual menu) or.... * Host your own pic somewhere and copy the image address..... * Click on the little picture icon underneath the S icon above the smileys and paste the image between the {img}{/img} handles or.... * Type {img}http://www.interweb_address.xyz/picture.jpg{/img} substituting {} for [] As an example: Done with {img}http://www.akaipro.com/stuff/contentmgr/files/0/0f0c4868d8de9b34cce0150fe098f7a1/large/mpc5k_angle_lg.png{/img} substituting {} with [] Note how the image has been automatically resized down. As Gwen says, best to reduce it but this creates all sorts of complications so don't worry about it too much. To reverse engineer this, click on QUOTE to see the source code for the message and look under "As an example:". It's really easy once you've done it a few times. Steve

I can't help but think that I've seen that MPC display and wave edit page somewhere else.. Hmmmm! And the VA specs on that box ... They too give me a strange sense of deja vu... The plot thickens...

Quote's from Akai site... "drum/phrase sampler with 64MB memory - expandable up to 192MB." "Options * EXM-E3: 128MB expansion memory card (Upgrades unit to 192MB total) * CDM-25: CDR/DVD Drive" EXM- E3? Sound familiar to anyone?

Yes, sounds familiar to me, but I haven't seen a picture of it. All pictures in any online shop shows the EXM-128.... The sound engine of the MPC5000 seems to be not very different to the Fusion, and the 8 track hd recorder too!
