These aren't new - you already have them (and more) if you have the entire HS Fusion library.
I checked them out to see if they offered anything different - they don't really.
The only difference is that these aren't looped ... which you may like for 'authenticity' but as an ex-Tron owner, you'll soon tire of that 7 second limit (and the resulting 'crunk' when the tape runs out).

I know and I find them really great! Other musicians always look surprised when I play them a little bit, that's very funny ;D But I think that every mellotron as its own character, caused by mechanical issues or different condition of the heads. Maybe some people hear when the the fleas cough or the the grass grows, but in this case you will have a real reason to try them out. Next point is that pure samples may invite some people to get deeper into Fusions capabilities, doesn't they?

Thanks for finding this! I love Steve's Mellotron samples but I can never get enough Mellotron and to have the option to be able to be limited to the 8 second loop just adds to the fun.
Besides, these are dry samples, so they require no reverse editing to get them to that studio sound of the late 1960's. Plus, the MKII Brass sound was missing as a solo sound. When I played one of the samples though Windows Media Player, I immediately heard
"Confusion.....will be my epitaph...."
run though my head. And the gong? Moody Blues. The gong could have ended nicer, though. Oh, well.
