My lovely Alesis Fusion 8HD, Yamaha SY85, Yamaha MW10 USB mixer, and my battered Toshiba laptop, oh, with the worlds oldest Shure mic!! Does the job! Micky!

Christ I don't believe it! I've got those draws. Did you get them from Primark?

Good setup! And it's giving you great sounds! That proves that size isn't everything Old microphones rock. Bono loves those old SM-58's! And it's much much better to have an old one, than to have a new one! I have a vintage Sennheiser MD-441 which is my favorite live microphone. The same one Elton John used in his golden years.

Its not bad. Does what I need it to do. I have an odd way of checking the sound. When I mixdown and transfer to a cdrw, I play it in the car. For some reason, i can gauge if its ok or not. And its only a wee peugeot 206!!
As for the units beside it..... I think I probably got it from MFI!! (Only the best for me!)
Micky! ;D

Testing a mix in the car is something I've always done since I recorded my first professional demo in 1989 I think it's a pretty standard trick for producers. Do you send your mixes away for mastering? or do you use mastering software? your mixes sound good
