Hi everyone,
Well, I am not quite a user yet, but I have Fusion in the back of my trusty Ford Focus. I have only heard the online demos on Alesis' site and read reviews from users, mostly very positive.
The reason I have not heard this on is because it has no output - the lights are on, the display shows life, but apparently no one's home. Therefore, the price was quite right. I have done some electronic work and hope to bring it back to life myself. Hopefully I'll be posting music here before you know it.
Any help appreciated. Also, much appreciation to those keeping this site online. It's a bit of work, I know!
Tom

Welcome,
I wish you good luck, and I'm looking forward to hearing about your progress. You may ask Alesis for the service manual, if you do not have it laready

First of all... don't carry it in the back unless it has a hard case!!! I always carry mine in the backseat since I don't have a hard case for it.
The Fusion's quite a complex machine inside - I've upgraded my memory so I had a good peak at everything. Hopefully you'll get it up and running soon.

Thanks for your suggestions. That service manual may come in handy. I am glad they are willing to share it. Also, I will be careful with moving it around, too. I don't want to upset the hard drive or anything else in it.

I found a bad transistor on the Analog I/O board and got back the right channel. The left side now makes digital distortion when I turn up the volume. I believe it needs a quad op-amp, which I ordered from DigiKey and am excited to try.
The backlight went out, but I fixed its"dimmer" board, so that is back.
I am excited at the progress , but I wonder what went on in the early life of this Fusion...

The quad op-amp did the trick - as far as I can tell, the Fusion is 100 percent again!
