hi all,
I just bought my 6HD last week. Second hand, very good state, from a very nice man called Alain, who is new age musician. This fusion has the particularity of having been specialy transformed to avoid the well known over heating of it. Its vertical dimension is larger, and there are holes in the back. It is my second workstation since the well known roland D20 I own since 1988 ! I am playing all kind of music, and especially pop and lectro pop from my teenage. My favorite band is a small quite unknown UK band called Depeche Mode... ;-) Before the fusion i have been using PC, daw, VSTs and midi keyboards. I wanted a new synth for playing live with my new band here, having better sounds than my old D20, an more easy to transport than my midi KB with labtop and sound card. I also want to play live complex structures with one key at left hand while playing pads, leads or pianos with the right hand. I hope the fusion will help me doing this. I have consulted many many e pages and youtube demos of various synths before doing my choice, such as : Fantoms, Motifs, SY, Kawais, Kurz, ... I liked the Kurz PC3 also, but the price is higher. I was laso very attracted with "Arrangers" station such as Ketron, Solton, and Gem genesys. I liked them not for the arranger function, but for the chords, lyrics and score display. I also particulary liked the under know roland discover5, but I missed a local purshase of it.
Now I juped for the Fusion, because of its versatility, large number of sounds, HD, sampler and audio recording. I would like to record the band with it, while playing... hard sutff. Finally I resolved to abandon the idea of arranger Kb. I still will use my paper shit and pencil for the chord grids and lyrics of the songs... "stories of olds" as was singing this old unknown DM band...
Professionaly I am mechanical engineer, specialized today in Quality management.
Nice to see this wonderfull forum, which I think will be very usefull for me.
By the way, my early compositions and performances are here, assembled in the so called album "snow". Please give an ear to it, and leave criticals. I am also on soundclick, but dont go there for years.
