Hello,
Reading through the forum I find that the power supply might be the achilles heal of the Fusion.
It is a custom model, but I was wondering... does the fusion need anything special? or is it your standard +3/+-5/+-12v type supply you find in your average PC with a different pinout
Anyone know the layout of the voltages ? Or is there a service manual available from somewhere?

Alesis used to email the fusion service manual upon request (support@alesis.com) It seems to have +5/+3.3/+12/-16 V Except the -16V it looks like you can rewire a regular power supply. Also, connecting -12V to 16V is likely to work. for some reason they supply the amps at +12/-16V instead of +12/-12V

Well, don't need a supply change yet ... but is does sound it's possible to use something standard in case of emergency.
I'm going to try for the service manual @ alesis.
Thanks, nmp.

Just getting a service manual from Alesis for your standard end-user is a no-go it seems:
"Sorry, we are only able to distribute service manuals out to our authorized Alesis repair centers."
That is a pity, but not abnormal I believe.
Regards, nmp

You can consider to contact the german Alesis distributor, they are familiar with the power supply issue. Perhaps they can deliver a stable one as replacement, my 6HD has one. It's not a big deal.
