Hi all, Just to let anyone know who may be interested , as I haven't been a very regular visitor to the forum for some time ... I recently completed a 'virtual' album using several Fusion programs from both Steve's Nebulae collection and Klaus' collections ... joined SoundCloud last year and posted this collection of tunes as a 'set' under the title 'Virtual Journey To The Stars' ... link below: soundcloud.com/lavallin/sets/virtual-journey-to-the-stars/This should take you straight to the set ... just done for the sheer fun of making music as ever ... Best regards, Rainbow aka Lavallin

Just still listening to the last track while writing here ... Nice stuff, very cool atmospheres and my current favorites are the Siren's Call ... and Chaos Theory tunes. I find your personal overall guitar sound great, what model is it? Do you have a favorite guitar effects device?

Thanks Klaus ... I use an early '90's Fender USA Standard Strat, fitted with a Dave Gilmour EMG pick-up set. For most of this 'album' I put the Strat through a Yamaha Magic Stomp pedal that I bought off E-bay and which I had Charlie Hall's 'Echoes Of The Past Delays' programmed into this pedal by Charlie himself ... lucky for me he lives nearby me. He used to set-up Hank Marvin's delays on a couple of Alesis Quadroverb units I believe, using his own 'Echoes Of The Past' collection of sounds. My favourite delays from that collection are the two 'Long Tom' delays with mostly a clean tone setting on Neck or Neck/Middle pick-up switch setting and just bring in a smidge of distortion now and again using the tone controls on the DG set-up ...

Thanks for the details. I am a Strat player too, so I already thought that this is one and your playing style reminds to Dave Gilmour, Jeff Beck, both are Strat players. Interesting effects units, I will have a closer look (Google). The Neck and Neck/Middle Pickup positions are great for lead when it should be not too brilliant or aggressive, so I understand your choice pretty well.

Replying to Jesse's post above: You're welcome Jesse ... I'll stop by a bit more often:) Replying to Klaus' post above: You're a very discerning listener Klaus as you have picked my top two fave guitarists ... so if you hear their influence in my playing style then I'm very happy! I have another 'virtual album' of world music genre 'Floating World' on SoundCloud as a set at this link: soundcloud.com/lavallin/sets/floating-world-lavallin/I didn't mention it before as I used the Korg Karma pretty much throughout, no Fusion, but if you're into guitar there's more of both those styles there ... Do you have any of your guitar playing to share anywhere? I'd be interested to hear your stuff. Don't know where you find the time to fit all your pursuits in! Best regards, Graham

3 & 4 reminded me a little of Pink Floyd

Nice atmospheric environment suitable for teenage sex.
"It sounds a bit pinkish" said Floyd, while he was setting the controls for the heart of the sun.

Best regards, Graham Thanks for the link, I will listen to that album later tonight. Karma is cool, although I never had one I know how it does when playing the Kronos. It's cool! BTW the Alvin Lee T-Shirt is great, love it!! Don't expect too much from my guitar playing, usually I work with skilled guitarists for releases, so my last album "The more you know" where I worked with Milo's Craving lacks my guitar completely But currently I do my solo album and there will be some guitar parts played by myself though. I will post here.
