I will definitely try it! I am fet up with the original powersupply which runs way too hot and is not available anymore. I am planning to make it external. I will make a story about it on my website www.synthstudiodevries.com

The story changes: The Akai powersupply is still available! I ordered 2 of them from a shop in Belgium. I also got an email from INmusic UK that they are still available. So while you still can, order them!

That's Great mts . . .
I bought two a while back - just in case . . . .
I STILL don't "Get" why the story is different from InMusic USA . . . . ?
Both my Fusions are currently working fine (touch-wood) with respect to PSUs AND displays.
I have two displays on the shelf too, and BOTH Fusions have SSDs - so I consider I've done all I can to
promote their longevity.
I even found a pair of WD 80Gb HDs (the Blue ones) Brand new and sealed . . . .
I'd forgotten I'd bought them . . .

I have also bought 2 new vents and 2 LCD's (thanks Jesse!). I will put these vents inside the Fusion and the standard one comes on the right endplate to pull off the heat. I will make a story about this on my website, when work on this is done. I will also replace the old LCD, because it flickers more and more and one of the CCFL driver prints is becoming black at some places because of the heat.
On the PSU's i will replace a few capacitors for higher specs, because the original ones produce too much ripple and that is not good. Keep an eye on my website!
