Since the drive at that link is the smaller laptop style, what adapter did you use to install this into your Fusions?

I used something like this: It will actually take two SSDs/2.5" HDDs The install document has pictures of all the bits I used. parametric _

Hmm... That doesn't appear it has any electronics on it to convert the 2.5" drive connectors to the 3.5" connectors. Also, i cannot access your install document, since i'm not on that Yamaha forum.

No indeed, you need an adaptor. Unfortuntely the pic I have of it is too big to post here . . . just join the Yamahamusicians forum - its free - and my document has pics of all the components as well as the detailed instructions.

So now i have 174 accounts... Thanks for sharing your experience with the SSD conversion. You really felt drilling a hole in the cable connector was easier than clipping the pin? i'd personally go with clipping the pin.
i notice that your drive and the one in the link you posted at the top of this thread are different. Is the one at the top of this page confirmed to work in the Fusion?

Is tIhe one at the top of this page confirmed to work in the Fusion? I thought it better NOT to clip the pin - so as you could go back to the original drive if required. (keeps things "original" - important - if you decide to sell the Fusion later on) As to the SSD . . . As with all things - Technology moves along. Manufacturers - especially Chinese, come and go for a variety of reasons. Based on the TECHNOLOGY required, so long as its a PATA SSD - it should be fine . . . . I have no way of checking because I don't have Zheino SSD . . . . parametric

It's probably just that I'm not remembering. It was a long time ago. All that matters is that either method will work para
