If it is 1.2 build 32 I found that it didn't address any of my issues although it did seem to start up a little quicker. Not working quicker is not really the result I was hoping for.

Hi Guys, Yes, 1.2 Build 32 is what I have. Partly fixed, but NOT all . . . . The <number of Programs> item is still missing from the <placement> tab in the AutoSampler Perhaps I'm being over-critical of the program. I'm finding it to be less than intuitive to use. The Manual I have, though purporting to keep abrest of the Builds as they appear DOES not do so. We are at 1.2 Build 32 and the Manual is 0.9 Build 28 . . . The Websites are confusing to say the least. (I believe there is an OLD and a NEW one - for instance). BOTH active. The Creator product is not mentioned at all on one of them - and so the support tab lists no downloads, docs or tutorials. The version that DOES list the program, details videos that got the response "Not ready yet" when asked about . . . I, for one desperately need some tutorials, to get to grips with the basic operation of the program . . . . How to start . . . Create new Bank? . . . . New Fusion "Document"? We need a few detailed "test cases" showing EXACTLY how to proceed e.g. - suppose I want to generate a Program Bank from the first Internal voice bank of my SY85 (64- Voices) (The omission mentioned above precludes sampling the whole bank) It will sample the first voice - and did . . . But I couldn't then find the file - and no clue how to save it as a bank (with a single program in it) I don't consider myself "dumb" with respect to using SW generally, but I also don't see the need to be Sherlock Holmes either. The Manual should explain the workflow - with explanations of the various operators - WHAT they do and WHY you would want to do it . . . A Manual is useless if it is just a list of features/menus We've already experienced that with the Fusion Reference Manual Jesse - I'll try again when they fix it . . . One voice at a time - with 4 x 64 Voices and 2 x 64 Performances, is just too much work . . . . . by then I might have learned how it works. BTW - I seem to remember that VStream_2 has WAY more than 128 Programs in it - which means you cannot nominate those programs in a Song . . . I see that the Creator has an <Exchanging Objects> feature. Perhaps it would be possible to create a VStream_2B Bank for the extras. They would then be selectable in a Song? Care to try it - and let us know? jim - yes, it's a bummer - especially as I ALREADY notified them about that ommision . . . . This is the screen I'm talking about: Compare it to the manual . . . The <number of programs> box is STILL missing parametric

Hi Parametric - forgive me if I don't know whom you are, since "Parametric" doesn't mean anything to me. Posting on this forum is probably the least constructive thing you can do. No one here can address your issues - only Chicken Systems (who I work for) can, and they don't attend this forum.
Use the Bug Reports as instructed in the manual; of if you think you are getting any attention there, use email to flag their attention. Or call 320-235-9798, they'll get you handled.
You put a lot of things up on your post, so they are too lengthy to address here and also several of issues are debatable and local to your situation. Just contact Chicken Systems and they'll all work it out with you. Again, Bug Reports is best, but if you simply copy-paste your post above into an email, I know that they ALWAYS address everything within an email.

I make no apologies for stepping in here - while all responses from CS are appreciated to plead ignorance of the knowledge of the existence of one of the very few people who have ever formally reported Fusion Creator bugs (as I know) by *all* channels available seems to me to indicate that you guys are either ignoring us or are asleep at the wheel. You have a very good Fusion Creator Bugs Report forum you seem to deliberately ignore, two web sites only one of which is apparently 'approved' for reporting bugs on and the one which apparently is 'approved' seems singularly inadequate for the task e.g. no capability for other than simple text messages, no way to add screen-shots of faults (which the web site you seem to ignore does).
I am afraid that from my experience of trying to get Fusion Creator functional for what must be almost a year now the impression I am forming is that CS has no real commitment to the Fusion and while I understand the commercial realities of software development quite well I must ask the question - is CS really serious about the Fusion? If not, it would be better to just say so and let us move on to other solutions. I have recently reported two bugs (one trivial and one serious) which I find difficult to believe would not have been found in any serious testing (one of my professional specialities btw in case anyone asks) which have not been addressed in the latest build.
I think the time has come to challenge CS wrt the Fusion - get serious or get out.
What say you?

Hi Garth, and thanks for your reply. parametric is just a "handle" I use in here, in the FusionZone and in YamahaForumsUK - which despite it's name DOES have a Fusion sub-forum. I have been some long time interested in chickensys, along with Jesse - and have gently "prodded" You and the team from time to time to persist with FC - for all the reasons that have been much discussed in the Forums . . We are naturally pleased that FC has been released - and hope the remaining details will be fixed in due course . . . . We are likewise pleased that the Fusion remains on your Radar and it is indeed an accolade to a board that was too soon consigned to "legacy" (IMO) I understand the need to have a well set-up Bug-Reporting site - (which you do) - and once you had explained that, I'd no problem with using it - and I have done so a number of times . . . It seems to work well, also allowing uploads of screen-shots or other related files. I've also used the ftp variant once to upload a volume - which was a bit of a marathon . . . . On thing I will disagree with though (if I may?) is your view on the SamplerZone Forum which you described as "boring". Whilst it may a PITA to administer, from the member's point of view, it IS easy to read and post pics to. It also represents a central area where problems can be shown and aired to other users - so they become aware of them. The Bug-report site (proper) is not (IME) so "public". I can track MY bug reports, but AFAIK, I can't see a list of reported bugs? Maybe this is by design? It seems that you are the only Admin/Mod in the SamplerZone and I can appreciate that your other commitments preclude you visiting very often, but I DO believe it is a GOOD resource . . . Perhaps someone else could sub for you, in this situation? Best Regards Chris N MIller

"Chickensys Fusion Creator Forum" - trouble is, FAQ and Feature requests seem to have lost all of the posts, General discussion has one post from Parametric (Chris) apart from Garth's in January and the Bug Report forum has been declared effectively 'off-limits' by CS so I don't really post there any more.
"We have to work together to accomplish our goals" - I can't disagree although I believe there are other ways to achieve goals however in cases like this it does take two to tango!
Over to CS!

Parametric
Other then the above exchange between you and Garth, have you EVER gotten ANY positive fix or "HOW TO" response(s) from CS about Fusion Creator issues/bugs?
I have Translator Pro and regret that purchase so unless they have stepped up their game Fusion Creator is not on my to buy list.
