Hiho Fusion brothers (and sisters ?), now i nearly have all fusion sounds from Hollow sun, KPR and Joeri. The newest sounds are the MoVin Pro sounds from Joeri, there are 310 sounds included and i´m very happy to got them, but, after the installation via usb to the fusion, the sounds are not present. And yes, i´ve created a volume with all sounds and samples etc and overwrite the fusion volume and verified the stuff, but nothing from the sounds is there. What i´ve wondered that the folder of the programs called MoVin Pro, and the folders of the samples called FreeV and i renamed them in MoVin Pro, was that a fault ? help please. Thanks and greetz from Germany Frank

Almost certainly Jesse is correct here <oldbluelake> BTW - VFree is a different Bank and NOT part of MovinPro
It is generally NOT recommended to rename or move files in the <volume> folder of the Fusion_HD.
It CAN be done, but you need an intimate knowledge of the Fusion's filing system to do it without making mistakes.
When making ANY additions to the Fusion's HD via USB it is always wise to copy the ENTIRE <volume> folder to your PC FIRST.
If you HAVE done this, then all you need to do is re-format the HD IN the Fusion (NOT in Windows), and COPY the <volume> folder back to it from your computer.
This will UNDO the mistake you made - and you can try to load MovinPro again.
If you DON'T have a backup, then you have to remove MovinPro Manually (time consuming and possible to make more errors) OR . . . .
Take a deep breath. Format the Fusion HD IN the Fusion, and reload EVERYTHING again . . . .
This sounds daunting, but at least you will have a perfect system when you have finished.
MovinPro is exceptional in as much as it has a large number of programs (310, you mention) Fusion Banks are limited to 128 Programs.
The Fusion will PLAY numbers above 128, but they cannot be accessed by midi and (I believe) therefore cannot be called up in <Songs>.
Some enterprising person needs to split them into Three Banks, which will renumber them so they can ALL be called up by midi - and used in Songs . . .
The BEST description of the Filing system of the Fusion that I've read is Joeri's own document vstream_manual.pdf Unfortunately the 1Mb limit won't allow me to attach it.
If you <pm> me your email address, I'll send it . .

Ok, that all i know, the problem is: In the volume folder are the folder programs, samples and multisamples, in programs the folder called MoVin Pro, in samples and multisamples the folders called VFree, and this both i´ve renamed in MoVin Pro. Oh by the way, my fault was that i´ve copied the volume folder directly in the volume folder of the fusion.

Alesis Fusion affectionately known as "The Beast" Good you caught that, you copy the volume folder to the root directory

Jesse is correct.
MOST 3rd Party Banks, when unpacked reveal a <volume> folder.
When you connect the Fusion to your PC, the Fusion's HD appears as a Drive in "This PC".
When you double-click on this , it will open to reveal a <volume> folder.
You then drag the 3rd Party Bank's <volume> folder and drop it NEXT TO the Fusion's <volume> folder . . . NOT INTO IT . . . This is important.
Click <Ok> /<Yes> to all the following prompts to overwrite . . . . . Copying will start . . . .
NOTHING will be altered that is already INSIDE the Fusion's <volume> folder.
The Contents of the <volume> folder you have dropped will be added in their correct locations, INSIDE the Fusion's <volume> folder.
When copying has finished, and you have disconnected the usb, you MUST verify <ALL> in the Global menu. This UPDATES the various Bank.txt files.
THEN you should find your new programs using the scroll wheel or <inc>, <dec> buttons.
Hope that explains it . ..

Alesis Fusion affectionately known as "The Beast" I believe you copy it into the volume folder not next to it Programs, samples, mixes, etc. need to be in the volume folder, then you need to verify the files. Alesis Fusion - Verify Files.pdf (109.37 KB) Hope this helps

When you connect the Fusion to your PC, the Drive appears in <This PC> as <Fusion_HD>
It is likely that when you unpack MovinPro, you will find a <Volume> folder . . .
THIS <Volume> Folder must be Dropped into the ROOT of the Fusion_HD - NOT into IT'S <Volume> Folder! [Important]
When you do this right - The PC will complain that an item <Volume> folder already exists (which it does!)
Just click <OK> to overwrite, or <Yes> (whichever it is) until the copying starts . . .
When completed, <Verify> ALL
When you <eject> the Fusion_HD, disconnect the USB Lead and the Fusion will automatically reboot . . .
That should be it.
It should be stressed that the <Volume> folder that is being installed does NOT GO INSIDE the <Volume> Folder on the Fusion_HD.
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS - Back-up the Fuson HD to your PC BEFORE you install new Banks.
If you mess up the install, you can just reformat the Fusion_HD and copy your backup back to the Fusion and try again . . .
Believe me, it's much simpler than trying to unpick a faulty install manually.
If you have not backed up and it goes wrong - you may have to face a re-format and reinstall of ALL your HD-based Banks,
Which is A LOT, if you have a load of KPR, ALL of HS and Joeri's Stuff besides . . . .
BTW - the above related to the PC . . . . The Mac procedure is slightly different - make sure to read up the differences . . .

Correct, Volume Folders containing all the Sub Folders would be copied to the Fusion's root section of the hard drive there by adding all the Sub Folders and Files into the existing Fusion Volume Folder.
If you have Individual Folders for Samples, Multisamples, Mixes, Programs, etc. instead of a Volume Folder containing them then the Individual Folders would be copied directly into the Fusion's Volume Folder.
Once the Folders & Files are properly installed on the Fusion's Hard drive they need to be verified.
