I've just started to record a French video tutorial. It will look like this : I didn't look at the existing English video, so I hope my work won't be too inferior.

That's done ! I finished the editing yesterday. I still have to burn a test DVD and design the cover. I think that at the end of this week the "guide d'utilisation" will be on sale :-)

Steve, after three days on eBay the 14 first dvds were gone. Few days later, I started to have excellent feedback from buyers. It seems that this video tutorial matches their expectations. Some of them told me to contact Alesis and to present my dvd to them. What do you think about it ? I personnlaly fear that they don't care since it doesn't have a direct impact on sales, but a French guy told me that if the first users had a good tool to help them understand the Fusion, Alesis shouldn't had to reduce the prices the way they did. I'd like to have your point of view on this, too !

Now is not a good time coz they're at NAMM and will be recovering from that for a bit.
They MIGHT be interested but the two problems are A) it's in French (no offense!) and B) well... we know that if Fusion hasn't actually been discontinued as has been rumoured, it's certainly not a product I imagine they will invest any time and money in at this stage in its life.
But I can ask them.
Could it be translated into English or are there shots of you actually speaking? Or maybe it could be sub-titled?
Even though Fusion may look like she's retiring, I am sure that there is a much broader market for your DVD if it was in a more 'universal' language.
I'll ask once things have settled over there in the office.

Since it's a DVD product, you certainly ought to be able to record soundtracks in a number of different languages for the user to select between, as commercial DVDs do. That would certainly broaden its appeal across the world... Which languages are represented on this board? We know about English and French already - what else? Incidentally - I guess we now know there are at least 15 francophone Fusioneers out there

I didn't plan to make an English version of this DVD, since I made it to help French speaking people who don't understand English. It would be very hard to translate and subtitle 3 hours and a half, or to record an English voice-over. It should have been worth the trying one year ago, but now that the Fusions are on the way to the trash I don't think so. And I didn't want to get in competition with the existing English video.

There's a minimum of 14 french fusionner ... is it for beginners or for professionals ? Is it possible to watch an extract ? Feez

There is no short demo version yet. Maybe in few days. This video is for beginners and users who want to understand every function available.
