I talked to my guy at Sweetwater last week about getting their CD, and he said it was possible, and that Dan was thinking of charging around $40 for it (don't take my word on that- it might be more now). I didn't have to go that route - but have hope, it is possible! I have a Sweetwater Edition 6HD. The sounds are nice additions to the factory sounds but for $40.00 there are better sound banks out there for you... IMO.

Thx for your opinion. A few months ago I bought 2 AKAI-CDs from www.tomeso.de , because I wanted to complete the Fusions sound library with guitar and bass samples. And I have to say, that they sound so realistic as they are! There was only one issue on the "acoustic & electric guitar" CD the AKAI S5000-Samples have had wrong root notes and it was still unuseable; this was no converter problem, also on the "short circuit" sampler (VST) it was still the same problem. But there was an additional AKAI S-1000 CD, where the root notes were correct.

I have contacted Sweetwater last week and they said that they will NOT sell the Fusion package separately. It won't be sold anymore.

From what I'm told, with Hollow Sun and KPR sample packages available, we don't really need them. They're basically the same sounds that were released 10 years ago for Kurzweil users.

I think the only thing I ever actually use from the collection are a couple of the drum/cymbal samples in a custom drumkit I built. Other than that, there really isn't anything you're missing if you have the normal compliment of free downloads.

I do not really need them but it's always good to make a richer pallete of sounds...! anyway, I have enough sounds to create and edit 100 albums in my Fusion ! it's just sounds vice !

Yeah, it's Sweet! I've got them, and they're on DVD, should anyone be interested, just give a 'yelp', and I'll try to 'help'!

Yeah, it's Sweet! I've got them, and they're on DVD, should anyone be interested, just give a 'yelp', and I'll try to 'help'! Please note what Chris said above.... " I have contacted Sweetwater last week and they said that they will NOT sell the Fusion package separately" That is their decision whether you like it or not. It is also partly MY decision too as I came to an agreement with Sweetwater to bundle 'Nebulae' in their package to assist sales of Fusion. You have no right to re-distribute those sounds to Fusion users (in the same way that you have no right to re-distribute any of KPR's sounds you may have bought). To do so damages my ability to earn a living from my endeavours. Sound library takes a lot of work to create ... weeks and weeks, day in, day out of sample editing, looping, mapping, programming not to mention testing, advertising, marketing, preparation of audio demos, website hosting, etc., to bring you sounds. Sweetwater will have done much the same. What you do privately via PMs and/or email is your business and I (and other Fusion sound library developers) have to be pragmatic and accept that but please bear in mind that such actions affect our livelihood and our ability to support Fusion (and our mortgage and bill payments!). Picaja has already withdrawn from further Fusion sound library development due to his (ahem) customers divulging their download passwords to others allowing them to get his superb material for free - five purchases, hundreds of downloads ... or something! Go figure! It's called 'biting the hand that feeds you'. If you are happy with that, so be it - unfortunately, I can't stop you - but please bear this in mind when you choose to re-distribute copyrighted material. Steve

Not completely, but I would have released more free stuff if this wouldn't have happened.

MoVin Pro was months of work, every evening, every weekend,... Don't forget the headaches, pain in wrist and arms of programming the sounds on the fusion.
I invite everyone to come and take a look during the sample process and sound programming. Maybe I should record my work and fill youtube with hours of video. Then maybe people will understand why.

That kind of "tutorial video" would be really great, because it wouldn't only show to work with the Fusion but how to create samples and use them in own programs.

Already said it in a previous post I think, but who can't afford to buy a couple of 50 $ sound libraries and still can buy a 1 000 $ synth? I bought a 8HD for 700 € at digital village 6 months ago. It was a good enough bargain and I bought 3 libraries (1 Hollow Sun, 1 KPR and 1 Movin Pro) with dozens of high quality inspiring sounds for less than 100 € . We (fusion owners) are lucky enough to have so many good free or cheap libraries. Those who complain should check the price of a SRX Roland Card. On the synth market, I see no better deal than the fusion+libraries. So buy libraries from time to time, and enjoy the works others did for us !

Roland SRX? Try the price of their new ARX cards! You can buy an Alesis Micron (or a used Alesis Fusion 6HD) for the price of one! The Fusion certainly has a lot going for it at a very decent price point!
