The free Fusion Convertor can translate Soundfonts, WAVs, AIFFs and Akai S1/2/3/5/6000 and Z4/8/MPC4000 sounds to Fusion format. PC WINDOWS VERSIONMAC OSX VERSIONTranslation is pretty good but some 'tweaking' will be necessary within Fusion itself.

Just thought I'd mention that I've just started Fusion Convertor under Wine on Linux, and it does appear to load. I have no idea how well it works ("Fusion in the wrong room" syndrome), but that it starts at all is encouraging.

Conversion between many other formats... not just akai. For example E-mu Emulator X.. boht the bain of my life and one of my main tools.
As to if it's worth it... for me... yes, as I have a number of E-mu libraries that I would like to convert..
For you.... only you can decide.. which libraries do you use? And which one(s) would you like to have on your Fusion?

Welcome to The Club. Fusion Converter is available HERE. Click on DOCS AND DOWNLOADS - you'll see the converter listed there (after all the sound downloads). Click on the one you want (PC or Mac) and you will be asked for your email address (don't worry - they don't bombard you with stuff). Insert your email address and you will be given a link to download it. Simple. Steve

Is anyone using Fusion Converter under Windows Vista? I keep getting an error message the says ' fusionconverter.exe has stopped working' - whenever I try to run the app, it opens with this message.

How do I get my drums samples to stop cutting off other drums as if I'm running out of polyohony? Only one drum will sound at a time even if I press two keys at once.

How do I get my drums samples to stop cutting off other drums as if I'm running out of polyohony? Only one drum will sound at a time even if I press two keys at once. Without knowing the source or format of the samples you are trying to convert, it's hard to say what the problem could be. It strikes me that somehow, the program is being set (or invisibly flagged) to be 'monophonic' - in EDIT PROGRAM > PROGRAM > PITCH, set it to 'Polyphonic'. If it already set to 'Polyphonic', set it to 'Monophonic' and then back again to 'Polyphonic'. I don't know what the problem could be - nothing I have experienced here and, given the lack of response to your question, nothing anyone else has either. If you can give more exact details of what you're actually doing to be in this predicament, maybe we can help. It's all a bit vague as it stands. Steve
