Though wandering ever so slightly off topic here, the way I'm working with The Fusion at the moment, I've been outputting all my tracks as audio, via the Fusion's S/PDif to my M-Audio MicroTrack 24/96, and "sneakernet" them to Reaper - which is in another room. Recent GAS attack has seen the arrival of a Yamaha MOXF6, which required the purchase of a new Laptop in order to partake of the bundled Cubase7 AI. Sadly it has Win 8.1 on it, so some time has been spent altering the GUI to something I can USE (Bl00dy Mobile Phone GUI) The MOXF can be integrated, via its Audio/Midi interface, USB connection with Cubase . I think I have to go the long way round to find out how this works in Cubase so I can hopefully get SOME of this functionality working with Reaper. I LIKE Reaper and have benefited greatly from Kenny Gioia's excellent Video Tutorials which I have invested in - so I'm NOT up for changing to Cubase . . . . . I've installed Cubase and the Yam/Steinberg drivers etc - but still have to figure out the actual setting up - so this might take a while, BEFORE I can see if the MOXF might be a workable control surface for Reaper . . . . Would be NICE to get the same deal going with the Fusion, but as the MIDI Data-Format was NEVER published - it might be a non-starter. IF I get that far, I may be able to get involved on your "clock" problems Best Regards parametric

The MOXF6 is a nice board, and GREAT value for money. I bought it off Saul from the Yamaha Forums - so I know its history - its basically brand new - AND has the 1Gb flash board already installed. The CP1 Grand Piano is also on there. The voices sound great as do the performances - but I've not had time to audition it all in detail yet (over 1000 voices). It covers some bases that the Fusion doesn't . . . . The instant auto accompaniment, for example - which is great fun for just chilling out and improvising away . . . . . PROBABLY - for complete satisfaction, I need to trigger it with the 8HD, for that lovely keybed . . . . The MOXF doesn't have aftertouch - but perhaps it can respond to it? . . . . so much to find out . . . I want to get to where Ujiie Katsunori is in the demos, with Cubase7 AI . . . THEN, I'll look to see how much can be done with Reaper. It's very light - so easy to move around . . . the MOXF8 would have been my choice, but TWO 88-noters in my situation would have caused the wife to go balistic most likely. Bonuses were a Yamaha Gig-bag to suit - and an unexpected 40th Anniversary White Motif voice bundle, which Saul threw in . . . I've not explored that yet. The new laptop was necessary, as the bundled Cubase7 AI won't run on XP on my old laptop. I've installed classic shell on the new laptop - so it now has mostly proper menus etc. I HATE the stupid 8.1 mobile phone GUI with avengence . . . . So I now have TOO MUCH to do Chris
