FWIW I did get an email reply from Garth Hjelte stating that they have been working on it and are still aiming for a Memorial Day release (but no promises).

I'm using Fusion Convertor on Windows 8 64bit but there's a huge problem. As Windows 8 64 doesn't use ASPI and the supplied ASPI version is 32bit, I can't convert my akai cd-roms to Fusion format, as the pc will not read them... I've tried using CDXTRACT to read the cd, save as akai 5-6000 format and then converting to fusion with fusion convertor, but loops and velocity settings get lost. Any workarounds?

It's an unknown issue, so a mail to chickensys.com is a chance to get the answer.
Velocity: The Fusionconverter does not consider any Velocity data when converting S6000 format to Fusion format. Must be setted manually for each converted Fusion Program Preset and then saved on the Fusion's harddisk (or CF Card).
