I'd be willing to pay for an OS upgrade (50EUR, 100 EUR, whatever) provided there are some real valuable new features (new filters, comb filter, better FX etc). I paid in the past for an upgrade of my Yamaha A3000 sampler as well, so why not now.
An SDK would indeed be nice, or at least a decent sysEx implementation.
But Alesis should first focus on the bugs (although they did a good job already!) and the promised missing features.

But Alesis should first focus on the bugs (although they did a good job already!) and the promised missing features. This has been discussed elsewhere and has been the point of some contention. The "specifications subject to change with out notice" provision sort of moots the arguement for promised missing features. I see no point in trying to drag that back into play. Sorry. Guy- Spell check suggested i change the spelling of your name to "gunrunner".

Ok, let me rephrase it:
'I'd be happy to pay for an OS upgrade 2.x , provided Alesis first releases another free OS update 1.3x'.

If - but let's hope not - Alesis would ever disband the Fusion and/or its team, let's start up our own Fusioneers company, offer them to buy a license for the hardware design, offer them to buy the current OS, and start building and licensing our own

Hmmm, I get kind of conflicted about this.
I remember when I bought one of the first Korg Karma's that it limped through several O.S. 1 updates... then BAM! O.S. 2.0 was released and the keyboard's potential real started to shine. I didn't pay for any of those updates.
However, I did buy the Audio Track expansion upgrade for my Fantom X6 and I considered it money well spent (man I miss that keyboard).
So... would I pay? I guess so. I would rather have paid upgrades/updates than none at all.
I hope Alesis is just getting started with the Fusion. It is a good keyboard and could be one of the greatest ever.
