Community creaturesLyrics are a poem by Adam Rulli-Gibbs. The vocal track is not definitive : I've just recorded it to keep my ideas but I have to make it way better. In this song, I used the Fusion for electric guitars and one of the strings sounds. Other sounds : V-Synth GT, PC1x and EZDrummer for the drum part.

New version with better vocals (but not perfect since I recall that I'm not a singer), a new bass track, plus some synths and more pads : Community creatures.mp3

This is brilliant!
Those guitars are Fusion? Wow!
Like the EZDrummer too! Did you use one of the midi patterns or programme it yourself?
The French accent does add a certain je ne sais quoi (Sorry that was bad!) But seriously don't knock the vox, they're pretty good

Thanks :-)
Yep those guitars are Fusion. In fact, the first rythm guitar and the solo are 100% Fusion and the secondary ones coming in the 6th measure are Fusion sounds processed by VST effects.
The rythm guitar patch is a guitar wave passing through a compressor, a fat cab amplifier and a vintage phaser. The solo guitar is an organ wave using the same processing path.
I never use preset patterns in EZDrummer, I prefer programming all the drums myself. I'm not good enough to play real drums, so I try to do "as if" when I'm working on a song. :-)

Thanks ! I do my best for my demos but I'm sure it will sound better when I will have a real singer.

The guitar parts were excellent. I really liked the song. The drum programming was done very well. I just wished the drums had a little more punch in the mix, but that is just my opinion.

Thanks. Each time I open my projects in Samplitude, I modify the drums mix. I still don't have the sound I'd like to hear. As soon as Superior 2.0 will be released, I'll upgrade my EZDrummer, hoping that I'll be able to make better drum parts.

Were the vocals recorded on the audio tracks of the Fusion ?

No, I use Samplitude for all the recording and editing process.

I love this software ! From simple waves cutting to complex multitrack recording, it's my #1 sound tool. The second one is Switch Plus, a little decoder / encoder for many many sound formats with batch processing.
