Not shown Yamaha RS7000, Yamaha DX7S, Yamaha SY99. Cheers, Howard

Indeed a nice set-up, if a bit overly "scholastic", if you will. Excellent maximizing of corner space. Obviously, you're a saxophonist as well... I envy you your WX-5. I've got an EX5r, which contains the VL70m, but you've got the better windcontroller vs my BC3. Curious, what are your influences and goals? Don't know if you're going to use the Fusion's HD capabilities for audio recording or if you're going into computers, but it definitely looks as if you've got several audio paths to consider -- bass, guitar, saxes, vocals? You must also be quite the versatile musician, yes? You've chosen the Fusion 8HD, presumably for its 88 piano key access, you've got acoustic and MIDI windcontrollers, guitars, and drums to boot. Not to mention the various coding languages/protocols and choices of intoxication... not much to hold you back, eh? =)

LOL! Some interesting questions, I have had to think hard about answers.
I wouldn't call myself versatile, more of a jack of all trades and master of none! The sax has most attention. The guitars achieve the least, only because there is only so much time in the day. The Fusion is used for arranging and reverse engineering tunes as well as as a tone generator. I have had a couple of fiddles with the physical modelling in the past but interest waned as I battled with the user interface.
I had a hiatus of 35 years in my non-illustrious early music career having been force fed piano and violin at an early age, which turned into a nasty case of leading a horse to water.
To cut a very long story short, about eighteen months ago I switched from a job that had me spending a lot of time travelling to a job where I don't travel at all, so I ended up with some quality time on my hands away from airports, so I reopened my musical career.
Originally I used the EWI-USB, although since having the WX-5 I rarely use the EWI. It's still not a real sax either in use or sound, but at least it means that I can play a wind instrument without the neighbours fretting.
I am also active in electronics design and embedded DSP development, although until very recently that was in wireless, not in audio, so hopefully that explains the texts in the bookcases! I haven't done much in the audio department, just a homebrew midi footswitch to change the VL-70m voices and I'm currently designing and building an embedded wireless midi implementation.
Regarding intoxication, what is not on the picture is the wine cellar, another way to enjoy disposal of one's income.
Cheers, Howard
