Hello, I made a little tool to create Fusion Drums kit programs directly on PC using Wave files. It's the first release, minimaly tested and I’m sure a lot of thinks may be improved. I tested it on Win XP and wrote a little tutorial about how to use it. If you test it, please give me feedback. You can find it on my site

Awesome, looks like it could be useful in creating more than just drum kits! Can you expand the program keyboard to the full 88 note keyboard on the 8HD? Thanks Take Care ... Jesse

Thanks all for your messages. I'm glad you like this application.
Manage the complete 88 notes will be the next feature of FDKB but it may take few weeks before I finished to implement.

This is a fantastic idea, thanks in advance! I downloaded it right away and will check it as soon as I can. The drum kit handling on the Fusion is cool but a bit complex and that makes it very time consuming. This software can be the perfect solution to make a kit far way quicker.
Thanks again for the efforts!
Cheers
Klaus

I installed the software and it looks nice! A brief owner's manual would be a welcome help though, at this moment I have no clear picture how exactly to work with the software. I do not see the original Fusion drum samples to choose from. Is it correct that the drum sound editing is still to do on the Fusion itself?

Thanks Jesse!
Now I did everything with the software and it works fine. It is a very cool tool for those who want to create new drum kits with new samples instead of the internal drum samples.
Thanks to JMD to make it available to Fusion owners!

Hello,
I tried to adapt FDKB to 88 notes keyboards and I have a question.
In version 61 notes, FDKB uses Fusion "Drum Programs". "Drums Programs" is composed of 64 oscillators and a note is affected to each oscillator. An oscillator is composed of 1 to 4 layers of velocity. So Drum programs are limited to 64 notes per drums kit wich is enough for GM but not enough for a full 88 notes keyboard. A way to bypass this limit would be to use a Fusion "Samples Program" composed of a multi-sample instead of Drum’s one. A multi-sample can handle enough zones to manage 4 layers on 88 notes. This method based on "Sample Programs" seems to be far more powerful than Fusion the "Drums Program" method (and finally as easy to program).
Do you know where is the advantages of the "Drums Programs" ?

Maybe psionic and or kpr will sound off on this to provide some more input. Thank you very much for your time and effort!

The advantage of the Fusion's Drum Mode is the availablilaty of 64 individual filters and envelopes etc. This allows to edit each single drum sample or 4-layer drum sample-stack. Actually it is like having 64 synths available, each one is dedicated to a drum sound that is assigned to a specific note on the keyboard. The Drum Mode also allows a sample reverse, individual sample control and a lot of more very nice parameters you will not find in the "normal" sample mode.
It is already a mess to keep the overview for the 64 drum sounds for one Program Preset, I would not recommend to extend it to 88 keys :-)

Hello,
I began to complete rewrite of FDKB to merge with Fusion Bank Maker and add few improvements (88 notes, envelope presets …). Most of the GUI is done but conversion part still to do.
I’m still working on it but slowly …
