Hey, this is my band Blue Lava playing "Behind The Lines / Duke's End" of Genesis in our rehearsal room - all synth-stuff you hear is of course produced by the Fusion. The second keyboard on top is only a midi-controller. I'm a proud Fusion user since 2006 and finally I managed to post something up here! I'm sorry for the (partly) sketchy sound but it's only the camera's own mic. Enjoy! Fabi

Well, lordhelmchen . . . A very commendable effort. Genesis are not easy to emulate - there is so much going on. You seem to have most of the "hooks" in there which is important. Basically, nothing about Genesis is ever that easy so you can all feel you have achieved something. The Fusion seems to fit well. Which program(s) did you use? Preset or "Home grown" I wonder if it would be possible to record it in some way, using the Fusion's 8-track facility (feed stereo out back into audio IN 1 & 2 for the Fusion - and other instruments in 3 to 8) ? Just a thought . . . Best Regards parametric

Very nice, how do you use the midi keyboard controller with the Fusion?

Thanks for the kind words! It is indeed a good idea to use the build-in 8-track recorder in a "looped" way, i'll definitely try that the next time! I think it'll work for that song, but there will be a problem with songs where I have to switch my sound-sets during the performance. In the video I'm using the mix-mode, I basically use the midi-keyboard only for playing rather than using the controll-knobs and faders. I remember using the 9 faders to controll a mix-mode drawbar b3 in the past that was/is lying around somewhere in this forum. The sounds I'm using (nothing self-programmed here): CP80 - of the kpr "C maj 7-9 sample library", I simply love that sound! (I might be a bit influenced by Tony Banks ) B3 88 8888 888 - of the Hollow Sun 02 To meet a soprano - of the Hollow Sun 08 Jumpin' Obee - found this whether here or in the other forum some time ago; layered with the CP80 and controlled by the volume pedal Moog Taurus - made of Hollow Sun samples they offered for free before the fusion era - could switch that to the new sample set that came with Nebulae... plays everytime when I hit the low C.

What's the jumpin obee sound? Let me know if you remember where you found it. I did a bit of research and couldn't find it again (I downloaded it in 2008)... But it was definitely somewhere on the board. Just PM me if you want me to send that sound to you.
