Hiho, i´m a synthesizer freak since 1979, thats the year i´ve bought my first machine, a Korg MS 10. In all the years i´ve bought and selled many many synths+workstations from Korg, Yamaha, Roland, Sequential Circuits, , Ensoniq etc. The last one was a roland fa06, thats gone for a fusion 8hd with 80gb. And its like a rebirth of playing sounds/music, thats the one i´ve missed over all the years. Cheerio oldbluelake

Sounds like you have had some interesting boards in course of your journey to HERE . . . I've had relatively few, A Yamaha DX21 -which is currently on loan to a friend, and a Yamaha SY85 which I still have. Buying my Fusion 8HD was a revelation. The keybed is unsurpassed. I've played a Montage8 and a FantomX8, and I still prefer the 8HD. After some deliberation, I decided that I MUST have 6HD too - so I now have BOTH. The 6HD has a perfectly suitable synth-type keybed, as good as the SY85 and really a must for Hammond glissandos (Less PAINFUL than a weighted Piano action would be) The Fusion was simply WAY AHEAD when it came out. Currently, only the Korg Kronos has more ENGINES under the hood. The "intelligent polyphony" is another world beater (IMO). Polyphony can be up in the hundreds for certain configurations. I believe the 8HD was around £2k when it first appeared. These days, the second-hand prices make it a BARGAIN for what you are getting. KPR @ backintimerecords.de is STILL making Banks for it - which is amazing . . . . . I've personally not really been "under the hood" of the Fusion, but I suspect, that MUCH MORE is possible, IF you are prepared to spend time exploring, synthesis and tweaking possibilities. All I can say is that I does what I need to make the Music I do, and that is fine for me . . . parametric
