Probably not possible unless there's a camera on top of the screen, or an interface cable as it might seem from this video.

They lashed up a special fusion with an interface just for that show. I remember on the other forum someone else asking that and someone from alesis confirming that (or someone in the know at least)
But no. There is no way of doing it on a production model.

I guess that functionality is due out with the cd-burner and OS 1.25. However, I can't think of a real practical need for this in my situation. Just a wild hair.
Thanks all.
Peace, Hooj

Is this OS 1.25 for real or is a April's fool bad joke. It sounds too good to be true. Does anybody have more details?

It's an April Fool. Someone did the same thing last year (except they called it OS 2.0).

Sorry folks. No April Fools intended, just being sarcastic comparing my hopes of having my Fusion displayed on a monitor to hopes of having the advertised cd-burning capability. These things will become reality along with OS 1.25 (or 2.0, whatever), meaning Never.
Didn't mean to mislead anyone. Hooj

.... to hopes of having the advertised cd-burning capability. Just to blow that myth.... To the best of my knowledge, CD burning was never an advertised feature - SATA drive support was. Some people, however, in the usual frenzies of conjecture and speculation that were popular a while back, concocted CD burning as part of the SATA support feature list. ISTR it started off as "I do hope they provide CD burning in the SATA support" which led to "Yes that would be good" and somehow ended up as "When will those slimeballs at Alesis release the promised CD burning upgrade" A lot of Fusion's past was ever thus though and I was always reminded of the olde joke..... At the trenches of WWI, the officer tells one of his men "Send reinforcements - we're going to advance. Pass it down the line". By the time it reaches the last soldier in the line, he turns to the Supplies Officer and says "I have a message from the front. Send three and fourpence - we're going a dance" Steve

Ok, I obviously REALLY blew it in my research. Especially since my 6HD came from Sweetwater. What was I thinking? CD Burner, external display??
Well, at least it does have 61 black and white lever thingies (I counted), a pretty blue screen (is that a night light?), and two groovy swivel light up doohickies on the left (those must be heated foot massagers). It also makes fun sounds when I hit those black and white lever thingies. I'm still trying to figure out how to get air out of that vent-looking fixture above those silver round knobbies!
Neato!!!
