Hi All
Don't have a Fusion (yet) but I've just put a request for help in the Marketplace with tracking down a new 6HD anywhere in the UK.
Background - amateur bedroom studio enthusiast who owned dozens of keyboards in the 80's and 90's (but not all at the same time!). Last keyboard used to make decent music = Ensoniq ESQ-1 (now that IS a LONG time ago!!).
Eventually started using Atari ST computers to hook up Steinberg Pro-24 to several synths/beat boxes/basic samplers but did not make much progress. Have since used Cakewalk software with a myriad of soft synths/samplers but have yet to match the simple pleasure of creating/mangling/composing on a workstation (even owned a Triton in the late 90's but faced too many technical obstacles/bugs to feel totally "at home" with it!). So many new bits of software are appearing these days at such a fast rate that I now think its a waste of time to spend any time learning one program as a new "better, stronger, faster" program will be along within the hour bringing with it a shiny brand new learning curve!
I decided to ditch the PC for music and go back to my roots - buy a decent workstation and learn it inside-out! From the information I've gleened from this excellent site (and several others!) I decided to buy a 6HD. However, as it is purely a hobby thing, I put it on the back burner. Anyway, having seen Jean Michelle Jarre live in Manchester last week (I have some photos of the gig somewhere on my HDD!), I really got bitten by the bug again, so - here I am!!
Just to ram the point home AGAIN, I am looking to buy a new 6HD in the UK ASAP - if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be much obliged - especially @ the £399 price )))
Thanks in advance...
