This may be old news, but the fusion sample playback engine appears to have an implicit smoothening attack stage builtin. This prevents against clicking noise, even when the start position of a sample is modulated. However, sometimes you just want that punchy attack, especially on drum sounds. Inserting about 70 blank values at the start of a sample will do just that (to my ears at least).
