Hello fellow Fusion owners of the world. My name is Alex and I live in southern California. I bought my fusion 6HD a few months back off E-bay and its an astonishing value for the money ( I think I paid $550 delivered, with a flash card and soft case included). I was raised on workstation synths, starting with an Ensoniq ESQ-1 more than 20 years ago, to a Korg 01-W (sadly, stolen out of my garage a few years back), M-1, Ensoniq ZR-1, and Cubase VST software. And many other synths and modules through the years. After stopping doing music for 10 years (got married had kids), I am now working on my first song and actually recording vocals and guitar with the Fusion, as well as accompanying synth tracks. THis keyboard is really like something I would have dreamed about years ago. To be able to do everything from one board is really awesome. As I am just getting back into the game, I decided to bypass software studios like Cubase (they can be such a pain to get set up and used to) and stick to one instrument, the Fusion. I am trying to keep it about the song, and not get caught up in searching for the right sound (there are so many fricking sounds to choose from!). THe Fusion has been a wonderful tool and the more I use it and get used to its operating procedures, the more I realize what a powerhouse it is. I have barely scratched the surface. I hope to learn a few interesting secrets from you good people in this forum, and to realize my full potential on this beast of a keyboard so mistunderstood by the synth-playing masses. Its a Diamond in the rough and for those willing to take the time, not only will their music sound great, but their programming chops will be expanded as well. Cheers to all.
