Hello I am a musician in terms of can play hammond, piano keys etc but never had that much interest in sampling. A session player rather than programmer is me. However I have a huge collection of Wav samples.
I have used free converter, and when I load and verify these samples, tend to play across c1-e1. I know that I need to do some mapping but can someone explain how this is done, so that the 5 samples are mapped across the whole range.
I know that there is a manual about sampling, but I would like a quick and easy solution.

It requires some button pushing. You have to map the zones that the samples are assigned to. I am afraid it will require some manual reading to solve your problem. Unless there is a magic software solution that I am unaware of.

it is a tedious but rewarding process when you do it correctly. The first time I did it, it was spot-on. Last night, I failed miserably.
I can't recall what I did right the first time (I was mapping that MKII Violins wav collection one of our brethren pointed us to), but when I was done I had a Mellotron that spanned from keys G2 to F5 and played as well as the sample allowed.
Last night, I couldn't seem to find the correct access, that is to say, I went into Sampler and doing so didn't allow me to set up a proper Multisample. Should I have gone into Program instead? Time to hit the manual, I guess.
