Well I finally got one. Here's my story. When the fusion first came out, a friend of mine really liked it. I went to guitar center to check it out and thought it was ok, but nothing special. Before I buy a keyboard or module, I spend a lot of time going back to the store to check it out. I then read reviews from the magazines and also product reviews online. The problem was that after the first time I checked it out, it seemed like every time I went back the display model had an error message on the screen. So like so many other people I saw this as a bad sign and stayed away from this board. Presently I've been looking for a new sound module to add to my collection for some new inspiration, and I noticed how far these boards had dropped in price and decided to take another look at them. Since guitar center and other stores had long since stopped carrying them, I had to rely solely on current user reviews, youtube demos and forums like this one to aid in my decision. Fortunately It seems virtually all the bugs have been addressed with the software updates. So I'm checking online and found a "blem" 6HD model for $519. I instantly thought that this has got to be as good as it gets. Analog and physical modeling, FM and sampling for $519? AND a 45 day money back guarantee? Well sorry for the long post, but I'm exited and can't wait for it to arrive!

Hey Twin688!!
Good bargain! I did the same as you, checked out all the reviews and forums, but the thing that sold the fusion to me was Erik Norlander's demo at NAMM. Its a great synth, fantastic action and easy to get into. I have mine since April, and it keeps surprising me with new things. This is a great forum. Everyone on it is extremely helpful. Loads of support and the benefit that you have guys who are awesome when it comes to programs and sampling. Freepacks and paypacks that will keep your ears and creative juices flowing. You will find yourself at home here!
Micky!

Welcome, Twin! If you're into synths, the Fusion is a no-brainer. It's as capable as pretty much anything out there, unless you want to get into really weird modulations or have multiple filters running at once. But for real-life applications, this is it! At least for me.
