I'm new to creating arps. I know I love them on th microkorg. sadly the fusion's arps sound more contrived. anyone have any tips on creating editing or uploading new arps? is it even possible to upload them?

I'd like to know the same thing. Like is there a place I can purchase guitar strumming arps?

Of course you can upload arp patterns. They are renamed midi files, so you could create (record?) them on you computer, export a midi file and rename the file extension to ".afa". Don't forget to write the names into the bank.txt file or try to verify after uploading the files.

I attempted several times to transfer midi patterns, both SMF format 0 and format 1 created in Cubase VST 5.1, into the Pattern folder on the Fusion, after having renamed the extenstion from "mid" to "afa", and then running the verify routine on the Fusion.
In every case the new files with the "afa" extension are not visible when I go to select an Arp pattern. Am I missing something here ? I am sure that it is possible to transfer midi patterns (files) into the Fusion and then use them as Arps.
I can import midi files into the Fusion created in my Cubase VST 5.1, and my Yamaha QS300 also recognises the Cubase VST 5.1 midifiles so I don't see that my software sequencing software is the problem.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

It appears that I need to delete the "bank.txt" file in the pattern folder and then the arp patterns I have transferred (to the Fusion) appears in the patterns folder.
Problem solved. ;D

It's also possible to edit the bank.txt file manually and insert the arp pattern file names without the .afa extension. So you'll keep the ordering. But that's only a small problem at arp patterns
