Hi, sorry for what I think is a total noob question, but I do not know where to start on this one.... I'm using the ROM Preset 1 bank sound #83 (k-4) "sine lead". Now, when I play it as a program, no problem, but if I play it as part of a MIX, as for example "part 1", while playing, some notes are "cut off" they sound at lower volume level, or like a through a low pass filter. I cannot tell if the problem it's triggered by the velocity/speed or legato/staccato, it appears to happen randomly.... Any indication on where I should start looking ? Thanks in advance for any suggestion you may have! --sav

Creating mix with "Sine Lead", loads HG Piano as Part 2. Both parts sound same as in Programs, including volume levels. This is confirmed by disabling part 1 or 2 leaving Lead or Piano alone and comparing mix with program. Cannot reproduce your problem. Using 6hd.

When you create a MIX and assign a program, that program's effects aren't carried across to the MIX. In the case of 'Sine Lead', it has the Vintage Phaser applied as well as reverb and tape delay so it's going to sound different when heard 'dry' in the MIX (though I don't understand your comment about notes cutting off). There's a way round this... * In PROGRAM mode, select 'Sine Lead' - you'll hear it in all it's glory. * Press EDIT * Press UTILITY (bottom left function key) * Move the cursor down to the [TO MIX] tab and select 'GENERATE LAYER MIX' * Press [TO MIX] There will be a progress display, a new MIX will be created and your 'Sine Lead' will be placed in Part 1 complete with effects, etc.. Now here's the daft part... For reasons unknown to anyone except the person who 'designed' this function, the process also assigns the bloody Holy Grail piano to Part 2. Don't ask why - I have no idea. One of her little 'eccentricties'! So when you play your mix, you will hear 'Sine Lead AND the damned HGP! So press EDIT and delete or mute Part 2 and you're good to go with 'Sine Lead' sounding as it should. You can build your MIX from there. Hope that helps. Steve
