Hi. My first post, but hopefully not my last.My question is simple,i currently use a QS8.2,with various q card expansions.Im very interested in the Fusion, although i have not had the chance to try one yet,im very impressed with the various demo sounds posted. What i need to know is if i bought one, would i be doubling up on sounds ive already got?,or are the Fusion patches all new.
I compose and play prog rock/synth instrumental music.

Hi,
I use an Alesis QSR module with Q-cards and also the Fusion.
Although, Alesis stated that the Fusion came with a new soundset in their promotional literature, I was still surprised to find so much difference between the soundsets of the QS series and the Fusion. In fact, I was a little disappointed at first that the Fusion didn't have some of the sounds that I loved in the QS module. However, the quality of the Fusion sounds, as others will probably point out is superior to that of the QS.
So, if you got the Fusion you would be complementing rather than doubling up on sounds.
Best regards,
