Are the drums in the sequence or are they played live (on an electronic kit) ? Great ambiance, it seems :-)

I'm listening to your "Empress of Mars"... I love this arpeggio groove and the reverby lead sounds on this straight drum track. Good electronic job !

Are the drums in the sequence or are they played live (on an electronic kit) ? Great ambiance, it seems :-) Yes and No. If your speaking of 'the Empress of Mars'; the drums are a classic 60's kit from DigiDesign A.I.R. STRIKE. I create patterns and assign them to one of the keys over 3 octaves. The black keys are assigned to fills. I simply play the keyboard to trigger the pattern of my choice when desired. The 'groove' on 'Empress' was created by a Multi patch (2 or more sounds combined) through the 32 step arpeggiator of Spectrasonics Omnisphere. The solo is also Omnisphere. If you listen closely I mixed in a little 'ring modulator' (the sum of 2 tones) into the synthesizer solo to give it a harder more atonal edge. Also, the stuttering modulation is also voracious. BTW: I wrote the basic song in about 15 minutes. Thanx for the comments. Although, it's not finished yet. Vocals yet to come.
