Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way to do a complete reset of the fusion. The manual says to use play+rec reset but that simply resets the global settings and doesn't erase favorites or stuff like that. So basically I don't trust that play+rec is actually a reset.
How do I reset the fusion so that it's the exact same as the day I took it out of the box?

play+rec on boot up does reset the default hardware settings, if you want get the hard drive back to default back up your Fusion hard drive, then reformat the hard drive and install what ever you want on it.
Or delete the contents in the favorites folder, which should be just copies of programs you placed there and really takes up very little space - the fastest way to do this is connect your Fusion to your PC by usb

Favorites folder? Programs and Mixes are marked as favorites in the bank.txt files as numbers 0-7 after a second colon delimiter (corresponding to fav 1-8). When a rom Item is marked as a favorite, i believe that it is saved in flash somewhere because I don't have any favorites folders.

If that is what padillac is talking about, I doubt that it is copied elsewhere, but simply tagged as a program or mix that is used a lot. Re-installing the OS (the lastest ver 1.24) might clear the favorites label, there does not seem to be any info in the manual on this topic that I can see. If you know of a source on this info let us know.
