Hello, It's with a great sorrow I tell you that our best member, GOD JP VIDEO, died in that 13 september 2012. I'm so sad that I knew that terrible news yesterday. A friend of Joe advertised me. Some words: "Joe passed quietly of complications from cardiac surgery at Morristown Hospital according to his physicians. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him." He was a great friend for me, a great musician and he always has some word to say about anythings, we shared together the passion of Indian music, spirituality, electronic music and humour. That is not a fake, we forget a best friend. I hope he is meeting some others musicians in another dimension and have a jam with... Peace and Love for ever, Joe. Feez Attachments:

That is very sad.
I was only talking to him in this forum back in May . . .
Seemed like he was enjoying Cambodia, he never mentioned any problems.
My thoughts go to his family at this time.
I'm convinced that the almighty has a special place for musicians - where we can be together - and continue to do what we do. . . .
This must be a bad time ATM.
Only recently (Sept 18th) one of our MODS on the Yamaha Forums UK lost his wife. . . .
I guess its just a timely reminder of our mortality, and to emcourage the rest of us to make the most of what we have left . . . .
Rest in Peace - JP

Yes, very sad.
I only knew him from his on-line presence, but I can imagine that he lived life to the full and touched the lives of thousands of people.
He certainly was a character!

RIP Joseph. I remember when you told me you'd printed out a piece of my digital art and put it up on your wall over there in NY - I thought that was so cool. You were such a character JP and one-of-a-kind . . .

Apologies for the slightly abrupt outburst earlier, but this news pretty much kicked me in the teeth. The last time I heard from Joe was a few months ago, and communication was always sporadic at the best of times. Having gone through quite a turbulent time personally since May, I hadn't realised how long it had been since we last spoke. We both met via this place and instantly hit it off. He was from that era that I so longed to be a part of, the new wave scene of New York during the 70's and 80's, and the tales he used to tell were fascinating. He used to send me all his albums and even sent me a rare and immaculate copy of his first single on 7" vinyl. I always remember that his packages would arrive festooned with all sorts of weird stuff, full of interesting things to read, look at or listen to, and always smelling of stale Marlboro I'm pretty certain that he lived his life to the fullest, finding much happiness in recent years with his Cambodian partner. Damn, the guy used to send me all kinds of pictures of her!! LOL I hate it that he's gone, that I didn't get a chance to talk with him one more time. But he left behind his wild and wacky offerings to the world. His music, his art and his vibrancy. Energy doesn't die, nor is it created. It's always there. Joe may have gone as we know him, but his raw energy has just dissipated into the universe. Not in a religious or spiritual way, but as physical energy, absorbed and used by all that surrounds us. He's still around, just in a less organised way. Goodbye Joe x P.S. If anyone wishes to leave their messages of condolence, there is an online book of remembrance here... obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=Joseph-Provede&lc=4025&pid=160011770&mid=5246211

RIP Joseph. I have never met you, but from your posts I felt I knew you forever. You showed us how life should be lived. === One of the first Alesis Fusion demos I watched:

Have not been on the forum for a while and I discover the sad news. I don't know Joe but from his posts, I could see that he was a funny guy full of life and spirituality. I don't believe in any god or life after life, so my thoughts go first to his family and close friends. RIP Joe.

Wow i have been away for quite some time, this is very very sad news. He will be missed by all . His fingers lit up his Fusion, but it was his spirit and genuineness that helped light up the world. What a great guy He will not be forgotten. RIP Joe.
