Hi Jesse, Yes its been very quiet recently. I've been playing with Song Mode a bit and am somewhat in a netherworld between trying to edit MIDI on the fusion - and transferring midifiles to the PC - in Reaper. editing the MIDI on the Fusion is proving a non starter, as the track I have made uses a LOT of pitch bend. Not wild thrashings but very small vibrato-like adjustments to the intonation of the Sax voice I'm using - problem is, its pretty much a continuous modification whenever the Sax is playing. This of course translates into a midifile with a monsteramount of PB data - and editing one event is impossible. Every time I touch the sector wheel to find an event. The Fusion refreshes the view - by reading the whole damn file - which takes ~ 25 seconds . . . . .. Grrrrr. This just might be a way out. I am OK with score reading, and this program seems to have lot going for it at a medium price . . www.notation.com/NotationComposer.phpWith over 1000 programs on the HD - I am finally getting round to doing a survey of the Progs I REALLY like, with a view to making my own Bank with the Fusion Bank Maker - just to limit all the searching thats now necessary . . . .Its proving a slow process. So - I am doing stuff ;D Best Regards parametric

I am in the process of remodeling my music room
I have (3) favorites banks JMS 01, 02 & 03, I keep track of what's in each bank in a spread sheet, I also list in the spread sheet where each (program) sound came from.
Once I finish remodeling I hope to tear into my 2nd non working 8hd in hopes of making it functional and also do a little tinkering and possibly some simple modifications.
As far as SATA & SSD drives go I am beginning to have little hope, if there is no support for them in Fusions BIOS there may be no hope - but Never Say Never!

As far as SATA & SSD drives go I am beginning to have little hope, if there is no support for them in Fusions BIOS there may be no hope - but Never Say Never! I am unconvinced that my previous attempt to connect a (albeit sata3) SSD drive got a fair crack of the whip. The sata<>IDE converter board I used was MEANT to be connected to the IDE controller interface. Instead, I tried to connect it to the drive-end of the IDE ribbon using a pcb pin-array to make a gender changer - possibly NOT successfully. Getting to the ide controller socket on the Fusion required more de-construction than I was prepared to risk - at that point . . . . Sata might still be possible to do - but, given the unknowns that may lurk in the bios - probably a better plan is to try a PATA SSD - they ARE available - and would eliminate the "unknown" converter. That said, I wouldn't expect a performance boost from a sata drive, as the rest of the "plumbing" is PATA IDE . . . . vis-a-vis other sata matters - I'm hoping to upgrade my tiny ASUS eeepc 901 netbook - with larger SSDs. They are msata pci-e. At present, the C: drive is 4Gb and the D: drive is 8Gb. I've ordered a 32Gb for the C: and a 128Gb for the D: These are tiny plug in boards . . . . Can't wait to try them Best Regards parametric

Hey Guys. I'm using my 8HD sparingly even with the new PSU working fine.
My screen does have a small washed out area on it.
I worry about what will fail next!
Now I do most of the nitty gritty work on my material, in Logic Express 8, via a 1st Generation
Axiom 61 keyboard/Controller and I use the the Fusion, for sounds on mix downs.(and sometime I
treat my self to some fun)
This is a bit of a drag, cause the key bed feels so nice and expressive and it has created a definite
fractional use in the capabilities of our wee Silver Beasties.
I still really like it, but I miss being able to use it any time I want too.
There are still sounds that I can't get to sound as good on software synths as I can on hardware
synths. The inverse is also true so it's great to have both.
Oh and Jesse, Nice to see that you've contacted the Psionic Guru. I'd love to read more of his Synth
ramblings anyday.
Keep it up Gents.(n ladies if any)
Biff

Guffaws!!!!! Went down great!
Nearly 11:30 am here and i just spent the past hours phuggn around with my silverness.
Just realized that my home rolyee's were pretty sweet and what further sonic rendings and
wrenchings one can still do avec this here blue glowy thang. Such a deep contraption. So many
things and ways i have not yet explored yet.
It's Beddy buy (they feed us subliminal purchasing messages while we sleep buy bouncing waves
off of the surrounding matter setting up resonance's, that our sub conscious hears and tells us to
buy. Buy God!) time.
Type @ yuh soon

Hallo Jesse, The last six years I have used my Fusion every day. My soulband Skytrain plays a lot of soul and dance classics where arp's and lots of sounds and samples can be put in to make the sounds to be recognisable. So I use it live and on stage. You could check our website www.skytrainmusic.nl to listen to my fusion sounds. I put in a new display and a new volume pot a couple of years ago. And once I had to renew the power print because of a break down. Keeping in mind that I use it daily, it's holding up just fine. Regards, Paul
