Yes, you read right: Get MORE new Fusion sounds in 2012.What is in the development pipeline? - Updates for existing products You already know that several products like the ROM-Expansion and MyOrchestra were updated to get more out of them for your music. You can count on several updates during the following months and as usual we send out info mails when they're available. The best is: No update fee.- New productsThe Fusion's sound potential is fantastic and the better I know this instrument the more new sounds will be created. It's been over 5 years now that I work with and for this instrument and you can rely on this experience when looking for sounds. The latest New FM soundbank is a good example for this. On the sample content side you can expect instruments from the evergrowing wishlist I received from Fusionist's all around the world and the already mentioned Yamaha CS80 sample library will come soon as well as others. - How-to stuffThe My Fusion Secrets spiral-binding book together with it's sample library and Program Presets is a top seller! Same are the high click rates of my blog where I explain details like Drums or specific sound tricks and Controller assignment stuff. So I will keep on doing this, count in camcorder videos and production footage on my new youtube channel I am currently developing behind the scenes. Official online launch soon. - Product bundle dealsOften asked and available since a while as Beginner's Power Package and Advanced Power Package. We will do more package bundles to your convenience. And don't forget: Ask for your personal favorite sound bundle and save money! The central Fusion page is here www.backintimerecords.de/bitr022.htm Wishing you the best for a successful 2012, have much fun with your music! Cheers Klaus

And here we are: The CS80 for Alesis FusionOne of the real Vintage Keys legends: The famous Yamaha CS80. An instrument with a lot of character and finally available now as sample collection with Presets for the Alesis Fusion. Warmest analog pads, basses and typical layer sounds created by mixing Tone I and II on the original instrument. To get an impression you can listen to the audio track. Those are single Presets and I played one after the other with just two hands in real time, no overdubs, just using the controllers: Fusion TheCS80 by kpr Audio TrackThe 140 MB sample library provides 18 carefully programmed and multisampled instruments, all of them absolutely typical for the CS80. Each sound can be modified easily with the directly accessable Fusion Controllers like the Knobs and Aftertouch and many of them are also even enhanced with the built-in effects sections. Although the CS80 provides polyphonic Aftertouch and the Fusion does not, it's possible to recreate original CS80 features with the Fusion's Controller options though. Here is the standardized Controller assignment I did for this Fusion sample library: Control Knob 1: Attack + Release Control Knob 2: OSC 2 Frequency, max. is +1 octave Control Knob 3: Main Filter Cutoff Control Knob 4: Effect Intensity S1: Insert Effect On S2: Transpose +1 octave T1: Portamento On T2: Release Time xxl long T3: Vibrato Speed fast On T4: Bus 2 Effect Intensity + Aftertouch: Main Filter Cutoff Control Mod Wheel: Vibrato Intensity Pitch Bend: +/-2 semitones All this allows to simulate the CS80's timbre control with the Fusion's Controller options. There are over 70 Program Presets ready-to-use and the first 10 even provide pre-setted Arpeggios. Just push the Arp button and you will get those typical "Vangelis" lines he often used for his famous songs. You can shape the Arpeggios by turning the Control Knobs and using the Aftertouch and Modulation Wheel and T- and W Buttons too! The CS80 by kpr is available right away as download product, optional CD.

So the year 2012 is over very soon and I can report that the most of the announced new product and update plans are fulfilled. Actually it happened throughout the first couple of months this year. There where no more news from my side since early summer and the reason for this is my work for musical instruments manufacturers like Clavia and Korg. Also I did many new sample recording sessions and all this activities took my full capacity. Finally I was pretty exhausted and need holiday, so I went to my favorite place in September and had a huuuuge relaxation at the beach After I returned back to my studio and office I uploaded some new video/music clips on my youtube channel, some are Fusion related. At this moment they are just visual illustrations for existing Fusion sound products, so there is one featuring the Andromeda sample library and the second is the Otherworld 2 and finally one with UltraSynth. All this video activities will be continued for sure, as well as the Fusion format sound products productions. Perhaps it might help if you tell me what's your demand, so I will consider that on my priority list. Especially the latest sample recording sessions might be interesting for Fusion owners as I concentrated on rare Vintage Keys and totally unusal instruments. The list of recorded Vintage Keys covers instruments like Rhodes Chroma, Oberheim Matrix 12, Elka Synthex, Godwin Symphony, Farfisa Polychrome, Philicorda GM751 and GM753 and many more. And the list of unusual instruments contains Hohner Organa, Suzuki Omnichord, a set of Stylophones, the Harmophon, Magnus Electric Chord Organ, the PIANO Mate and some others. The below pic shows other activities: Expanding my synth sound design knowledge and experience even with extremely rare instruments, in this case the EMS Synthi 200, an oscillator and modulation monster that exists just 3 times in Europe. Wishing you all the best for a great 2013 and a lot of fun with the Fusion, perhaps one of the most underrated keyboards of the millennium. Best regards Klaus

Hi and Merry Christmas Klaus, thanks again for your updates and continued support for the Fusion. I am away a lot and don't get as much keyboard time with the 8HD as I would like but always look forward to your MP3's and now the videos. A very Happy New Year to you and yours!
