In case someone here is interested in doing computer DAW based music besides working with the Fusion I would like to announce my new TSW Pro II Sun-Play VSTwith the subtitle "shut up'n play". It is a sample-based software synthesizer VST with a huge 18 GB sample library content plus over 7.500 Presets. Bottom line is the subtitle "shut up'n play" and this is also my personal confession for music production work. No handling trouble, clear GUI screen, easy to use sample library organisation concept. Find out more on the product page www.backintimerecords.de/bitr057.htm , there are also several audio tracks to get you a impression how it sounds. I do the posting here because there is a special advertising price for purchases until July 20 and Fusion owner's respective Steve's Fusion Forum members get a additional Euro 25.00 Euro VIP-voucher on request. Cheers Klaus

Hi Klaus, This looks interesting! Is this compatible with Mac OSX Snow Leopard? Are there many of the Fusion programs in the huge library this VST offers?
Best regards ... Rainbow:)

It is Windows PC only, sorry no Mac :-( Surely there are samples inside that you can find in the Fusion sample libraries too. Like the most sample developers it is a multi-use of the samples because the original sample production is rather expensive. You can even find some of them in the new Steinberg HALion 4, in Sonic Reality's SampleMoog and even in Clavia instruments and more. But it's just the sample instruments in general, usually there are different versions concerning the number of single samples per multisample, V-Switches, performance articulations and sample length. Cheers Klaus

do you know if this will work in Linux using Wine? A lot of Windows VSTs do (like the Native Instruments and most of the freeware single DLL ones), but some of them (like the Arturia ones) will not run because of some goofy dependencies. If I knew that this worked under Wine, I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

But if you're in the mood to test it at home then I can submit you a NFR version, one without the sample library, just the VST.

sure - I can do that. If it helps, Wusikstation works beautifully in Wine as well.
Even if it takes a little jiggling to get it to work right, I can figure out some basic steps for you and you might even be able to offer it as a selling point. I use Reaper under Wine as my DAW and have mainly limited myself to freebie VSTs and some native Linux things. I find it pretty enjoyable to use when I have the time (which is not much these days) and find it a ton more flexible. Plus, it works better on lesser hardware.
my email is brainstem_AT_gmail_DOT_com if you wanted to email me. I would be a returning customer...

That's great to know, as TSW Pro II Sun-Play is based on the ws-engine. Thanks for the info :-)

yea - installation was completely painless... Granted I'm running an older version of it (4. something), but it just installed and I added all of the sample libraries with no problems whatsoever.
so I guess that probably answers my question.

Our VST is based on the newer ws5-engine, but as far as I know there are no differences in the dll files, so it should run on your system as well.
