Yup Larry, I have an enquiring mind and hate to be beaten. I would happily of replaced the boards and tube if they were available. Very satisfying when you get a result...and for a few pounds. That part looks identical to what I got. Doddle to fit and you would get 8 of the lights working on the LCD. LED's are also brighter than CCFL, last longer (50,000 hrs) and are not affected by temperature and vibration. Info here: www.tstonramp.com/~pddwebacc/lcd_backlights.htmProbably worth buying the LED's just in case you need a repair. Inverter boards no longer available so this may be your only hope, Would be interesting to see what blue LED's look like.

Yup, screen is pretty cool now...and, dare I say it, a little brighter than before? I just got £85 from the couriers as well for the damage to the cathode (which I have replaced with the LED anyway)...result I guess.
