I've just been playing with my Fusion and noticed that the pitch bend wheel does not return to the centre properly!
There is a little bit of give in the centre spot (before moving up or down) which I don't suppose I would mind, but it is affecting the sound so it is a real problem . . .

Someone else posted that you can get into a calibration menu See this thread: fusioneer.proboards102.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1164633433Falcon worte: Holding 1+8 while powering on enters diagnostics mode. One of the sub-items here is calibration deweak wrote There is a pitch-bend center parameter where you can set the dead zone
I guess this will allow you to ensure the dead-zone in the pitch bend covers the tiny offset you get (which is probably due to spring tolerances, and unavoidable in large production runs)

The dead zone (play) you are talking about is the result of Alesis using plastic sleeving on the return springs of the modulation wheel riding up. This problem can be resolved by, as stated re-calibration and/or opening the machine up and pushing the sleeving back into place. I tried the later first and it lasted 5 mins, so I tried the former, which didn,t kill the physical dead zone but resolved pitch issues. I hope that helps one and all.
