Hi everyone, recently bought Alesis Fusion 8HD 80GB Klaus Schulze edition and have problem with not responding pitch bend wheel.
I inspected the synth shortly at seller. Then booted to diagnostic mode and made callibration and test of all functions incl. Pitchbend wheel at home. It did not pass the linearity test, but otherwise worked well including LED. Also the other pots passed minimal and maximal extreme values test and failed at linearity test. After rebooting to standard user mode I have pitch bend wheel callibration error and wheel do not react. The other pots work well. Even after booting back to diagnostic mode, there is no response from the pitchbend wheel.
I opened the synth and made continuity test of 3 wires between pitch bend pot and PCB soldering points and it looks to be ok. Then I reloaded last OS 1.24, but with same result.
Do your pots pass the linearity test?
Any idea?
Thank you forward for any help.

What do you mean by I have pitch bend wheel callibration error and wheel do not react
Did you get an error message, if so please post it here.
By the pitch bend wheel not reacting do you mean when the wheel is rotated up or down there is no change in the pitch of your sound? Which sound bank and program were you using?

All I can think to suggest in this situation, is to wire (temporarily) the other wheel to the PB connections and see if the PB reacts. . .
If it does, in some way, then this would suggest the Fusion circuitry is OK - and the problem is with the PB pot itself?
(I don't know how easy this would be to do . . . I can't remember if the connections are soldered, or plug in . . . )
The SM seems to be no help in describing what the Pots actually ARE. maybe it's written on the Pots themselves?
If it can be identified, then you could obtain a similar pot and substitute it (as above) - then the test would be more conclusive . . ?
None of this is made easy because the two pots are different. The MOD wheel being a "normal" pot and the PB wheel being a centre-zero IYSWIM . . .
