I compose & record my own synth/prog music. How do you Fusion users, think the onboard sounds would or expansions would suit this genre of music?.

Between the Factory sounds and the inclusion of Hollow Sun's tastey sound sets I think you would be good to go. Don't forget that you have some deep programming tools onboard so you can build sounds to taste. I have been very impressed with the reaction that I get from other musicians when they hear my Fusion for the first time. Your best bet is to get your hands on one and try it yourself. Never buy an instrument on some one elses say so. I mean unless you really know their taste.

I think you'll love 'em
At the moment pretty much everything you can get for the fusion is freely downloadable (apart from KPRs stuff which won't exactly break the bank either)
All the hollow sun "official" Alesis releases plus their stonking freepacks too!
For prog, there are (particularly in the HS downloads) some killer mellotrons, Check out Tape Watcher, some fantastic moog-like leads courtesy of the VA engine, some pretty good hammonds.
The sound capability is the Fusion's real strength IMO and this is before you start to create stuff in Mix mode, layering and crossfading to create incredibly complex stuff (Great for creating a unique lead signature sound of your own to rival Jordan's!)

...for a second there I wondered how Katie Price had managed to break into the world of synth programming without anyone knowing about it...
