If a fusion had the installed memory upgrade option, total of 192mb and you wanted to import an Akai S500 sample CD of a piano what would the max size of the piano be if you had a choice of 64,128 or 256mb . I know the fusion talks about 64meg, 128mb linear format of waveform ROM but does this only apply to the waveform ROM or do you end up with 384mb linear format of internal sample ram fully expanded letting someone load the 256mb sample piano.

Fusion has two sound engines. When you install the memory expansion option, that takes both engines up to 192MB (two 128MB boards are installed, one for each engine).
So in the case of your Akai piano, best to use the 128Mb version.

Thanks for the response. Once I get the CD I'll post some comments on how it compares to the Holy Grail
