dewek.free.fr/Elina_Fairytale.mp3In this song, I used the Fusion for the flute, bells, solo cello and violin, high strings. The other instruments and percussions come from the Kurzweil PC1x. All is sequenced and mixed in Samplitude. I really love the Fusion's flutes. I found them highly playable and expressive. Each time I look for new sounds in the Fusion I say to myself "wow, this machine is terrific !"

That is beautiful - unique, original, unusual and haunting. Lovely orchestration and mix too. Love it!

Superb deweak, love the understated arrangement which really proves the old oxymoron that less is more.

Thanks everybody :-)
It's not a real demo of the Fusion's power, but I think you always have to use the best sounds available. And for the moment I feel happier with the Kurzweil strings and brass ensembles.
>> Stuart : I'm not a specialist of orchestral arrangements, so I can't layer and layer many parts :-( However this combination sounds good enough for this kind of song.

Just out of interest, are the flutes you used sample-based, or do they use the PM engine?

Some are part of an orchestral pad in the Kurzweil (sample-based), and the strange one you can hear in the calm moments is the "shaku Jack" preset (ROM1 - J5), which is sample-based too. The PM flutes were good, but I fell in love with that warm and fragile sound.
