My band Kimura went on stage for the first time two weeks ago. It was my first use of the 6HD out of my studio, too. There are videos here : www.myspace.com/kimuralive

Very nice.
Pretty darn good for a first gig... I loved the videos
I have to ask, though, are there venues in France where you can play Prog to a receptive audience? Well obviously there are, because people were clapping!!! I couldn't imagine that I could play out anywhere here in the UK other than the odd friends party (we did a gig about 9 months ago at my Wife's 50th, and I had to ensure there were lots of crowd pleasers interleaved with more proggy stuff).
Well done though.
What else is in your live rig?

Thanks for the watching In France, I think people enjoy prog rock since few bands play this music. Here, there are lots of pop/rock, reggae, punk and metal bands, but you don't have many ocaasions to sit and listen to "complex" music since the emphasis is put on "party music" (if I can dance on it, this is good !). Even if some of our covers are quite old, they sounds fresh for most of the listeners because you never hear Porcupine Tree or Marillion on the radio, for instance. So I hope that we'll always have a quality audience with our original set. In this first playlist, we have 5 Porcupine Tree's songs, 3 Marillions, 2 Pink Floyds and 2 Genesis. My setup is Fusion 6HD as my main sound source, Kurzweil PC1x for pianos and strings and V-Synth GT for leads and pads. Now, we're working hard to improve almost everything ! Next gig on July, 5th. We should be way better then :-)

If you ever play in Paris, I get over there pretty often for work.

I made an 8-track recording during the show (a Fostex VR-800 connected on the ADAT port of my 01v) and re-synchronized the audio mix with the video during the editing. It's not the perfect solution since I had to group the three vocal tracks and reduce the guitar and keyboards in mono, but I find that it offers great mixing possibilities as compared to a simple stereo recording, for instance.
