...well, it's actually half past six at night, but my sleep hours are screwed up at the moment, and i only got up 3 hours ago
So some people will probably remember me from elsewhere... I got my Fusion pretty much as soon as the first stock landed at dv247, and I've been barely scratching its surface ever since. Of course, I have a private wishlist - who doesn't? - but I'm not even close to exploring the capabilities it does have...
Here's my gearlist, incidentally - I've put it here because I'd rather say a few words about each critter, and I don't want to clutter up my sig with it.
I also like thinking about the design of synths, and I've been known to play with digital filter models on occasion (but not seriously, yet, although I'd love to write DSP code for synths and be paid for it).
So, er... that's me - hi

- Alesis Fusion 6HD (of course!)
- Yamaha V50 (I'd prefer an SY77, even now, but this is the next best thing)
- Alesis Micron (does all the analogue-synth things the Fusion can't quite manage, but the programming interface hurts!)
- E-Mu XL7, which came with a free Proteus 2000 ROM (it now appears that I could take the two ROM sticks out and sell them for more than I'd get for the XL7 itself... *sigh*) and which I would use for pattern sequencing, if I ever got round to sequencing anything
- Evolution EVS-1 (and I still need to sort out a sensible editing solution for it - because with the right editing it can sound like nothing else around)
- Casio CTK-691 (more versatile and better-sounding than you might expect)
- Boss BR864 digital portastudio (which never gets used)
- a couple of guitar effects pedals, two Korg and one Zoom
- a shiny new Ion iED05 USB drumpad set (some programming required to get it working with Linux)
- er, an odd shaped bit of wood with six cheesewires across it
I also like thinking about the design of synths, and I've been known to play with digital filter models on occasion (but not seriously, yet, although I'd love to write DSP code for synths and be paid for it).
