Hello All! I recently purchased a Fusion 8HD for live performance to replace my old MMT8 sequencer (I will still use it...for drones). I found that this machine is good for studio work also "DA". I must own at least 12 other synthesizers that I should probably donate to some sort of museum when I die (by the way, I'm taking requests for these for my will). This NEW machine is the 1st synthesizer I have bought during this century (other than a Roland AX-7, which is only a controller). I am very happy to have found you all and I hope in the future you will guide me through the complexity of this machine so that I may "bring the thunder down from the heavens onto this earth". Once I create a couple of compositions on the Fusion you will be able to hear them in all their awe and mystery at my music website: www.soundclick.com/jpvideoblessed be p.s. Welcome, We are glad to have you here. There is a learning curve with all gear. Just be patient and you will be well rewarded. most of the "problems" that I have had with mine end up being traced to T.S.T.O. If you started with a VCS3 then you know about quirky synths, right? I think you will be continually amazed at the range of sound that you can get out of the Fusion. Do you have a spangly cape?

I will have to obtain one if I already don't have it. I do have a nice black hooded robe though, does that count? It's day three with the Alesis "Behemoth" Fusion. I am making head way with song mode as I am creating my first initial work with it. I'm fascinated with the arpegiator mode. Still don't know how it really works but I can see that it can profess infinite possibilities. I have not gotten into the left hand panel except for playing with the automated mixer. I'll save that for after I make a couple of regular songs. Can you cut and paste sections of songs with one another? Or shall I say create sections and assemble them later? Hmmmmm...
How many people do you have on this board? Who is the Fusion guru? Over the next couple of weeks I will have many questions.
First stupid question: How do I name a song? more to come.........
blessed be jpvideo

Well, you think of what the song evokes for you, and then you try to distil that down to a single phrase...
*ducks & runs*
(Alternatively, when you press Store to save your song, you should get the choice of storing or renaming it.)
