New forum member from California. I used to have a QSR, which was pretty good, but i really loved the pianos on it. When it came to getting something that had a bit of everything, i started looking at the new workstations. The Fusion really stick out because it had multiple synthesis options built in, including FM. (I also used to have a Yamaha TX81Z and really loved the TDesque sounds it could make and the micro tuning).
The eight audio inputs also looked like a bonus (though i haven't used them yet).
I've also owned a lot of Korgs and Rolands, so i thought it would be nice to have something with a bit different (although can anyone really tell the difference these days between one synth and another?).
So far, so good. Massive memory, no polyphony limitation (YET!) and beautiful sounds - especially the Hollow sound stuff.
The only problems so far have been with programme change messages and resetting/altering effects levels when i change from one song to another (this might be a software problem though because i am currently running a rather old version of Cubasis). The problem is resolved if i go into CPU monitoring and change from 'maximise polyphony' to 'maximise load time' and back again.
