Greetings from the G.W.N. (Great White North). Its cold outside but its getting hotter inside due to the anticipation of my 8HD just ordered from Sweetwater. A huge thank you goes out to the creator (s) of these sites and to all the participants that asked all the right questions and who thought outside of the box (or the manual) to come up with the workarounds and ideas that were not even thought of by the Fusion creators.
I only have one question that has not been explained in the forums(I think) "Can I sample the audio outs of the 8 ch audio hard drive recorder? Would access to another 8HD help to do this? And lastly, has anyone any ideas about what could be done with 2 Fusions. Hope this makes sense and my spelin is oka. Thanx in advance- Biff(the beeping)Beeper

Hey! Don't worry! This board goes quiet from time to time. Welcome! I'm sure that I've read that it is possible to resample the fusion by getting hold of 2 cables and plugging them from the outputs to the inputs. As for the exact method I'm unsure as I don't have a fusion yet! Try posting a new thread about doing that in the general section and see if you get more joy there.
Two Fusions?! Do you really need that much power?!

Hi Biff,
Welcome to The Club.
Why do you want to do this? To master your stuff internally on Fusion? Forget it.
Take the analogue (or digital) outputs of your Fusion to a PC or a Mac and master your recordings there.
It may appear to be a weakness of Fusion to do this but believe me, there are better recording and mastering tools available for the PC/Mac than Alesis could ever offer.

I'm sure that I've read that it is possible to resample the fusion by getting hold of 2 cables and plugging them from the outputs to the inputs. You can record the output to the HDR that way. Resampling per se is unfortunately impossible; the Fusion stops doing anything else whilst it's sampling, and it will only accept input from the sample inputs - no sample importing facilities, unfortunately, except for the Fusion Convertor. (Yes, that is an annoyance.)

Instead of record L and R on pC or external recorder, Export your 8 tracks to wave files and connect usb to pc, transfer the files and put your 8 tracks in a sequencer, and so you can make a better mix, and a real mastering ! Good zic ! Feez
