nice pics... that kit looks fun. Sadly, the drum kit has been relegated to the garage, mainly because the kids bedroom is next door and therefore I can't play it in the evening as the pedals make too much noise on the upstairs floor. Also, when the dreaded Mother In Law comes to stay, we put the Z-Bed up in here and the drums just get in the way. So, they've been moved downstairs into the icy cold (especially at this time of year) garage where I can go and practice in quiet without disturbing anyone Kids, In Laws and Music Making Do Not Mix !! Buy a space heater and practice in comfort.....

On the top of your Akai sampler it's a recorder ! ... ok I've got one too (Tascam 8 tracks) for good preamp., but i've got a 24tracks mixinig table for monitoring. And you can plug all of your synths in this recorder ! Do you believe in Chrismas ? Write a letter to... You know the old man in red ...

After reading the review there is a whole lot more to the EZbus than meets the eye. I use a Tascam US-428 which is similiar but does'nt have anywhere near the amount of inputs.

When I purchased the EZbus new, it was, pound for pound, the best value mixer/control surface/IO option out there. Way ahead of it's time in many respects and as you say, choc full of inputs. The only problem was Event's lack of support. It was woefully lacking. Some of you guys think that Alesis is poor ?? That's nothing compared to Event. They pretty much ceased driver development within months of release. Even now, if you got to the Event website, they are still promising templates for Ableton Live 3 !!! The last driver they published gave a typical latency of around 20ms, which is pretty crap, especially for live situations. My Creative Labs Audigy gives me 5ms ! A 3rd party USB Audio driver managed to get this down to acceptable levels but didn't include MIDI capability so was limited and they charged €60 for the pleasure. Ultimately, it now serves the sole purpose of a mixing desk, with the MPK serving as a control surface and my Audigy as my main ASIO driver. Shame, as the EZbus had HUGE potential. Familiar story though, eh

Roberto, you have my apologies ! So little, and so strong ! I'ts a very good mix processor ! My wyfe is always saying "You don't know that ? Get out of your cave (my studio) !" The progress is too quickly for a sitar player ! I'm in the old school, and so now i'll believe in Chrismas with EZbus ... I broken my camera, but when i've got a new one , i'll send some photographs, to make you laugh with my xxxxxL mixing table, Dynacord 24 tracks, 4 sends, 4 groups, no usb, no optical, no midi, no fx, just "fingers" prossecors ! Peace

Why do you kids all have those little TV screens in your studios?

Is that the legendary Kaysound MK-4902 hanging out with the trash can? No, it's an Evolution MK-149 controller. However, in other territories it may have been branded something else. It was my first ever controller and I purchased it from Turnkey with my Roland SC-88VL. It came with Evolution's own sequencer software called "Evolution Audio" which was a Cubase 3.0 clone but less stable I fondly recall being more productive musically with just those 3 tools than I am now with a studio full of gear

Why do you kids all have those little TV screens in your studios? Because the big ones live downstairs in the home cinema set up
